This page explains how AutoExpertsHub researches, writes, checks and updates its content, how the site is funded, and what to do if you spot a mistake. We publish it so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give what you read here.
Who Publishes AutoExpertsHub
AutoExpertsHub is an independent publication run by the AutoExpertsHub editorial team. We are not a dealership, manufacturer, lender, insurer or repair shop, and no company can pay to change what we publish. You can reach the team at any time at info@autoexpertshub.com.
How We Research
We start from primary and official sources wherever they exist, and we list the main sources at the end of each article. The sources we rely on most are:
- Safety and reliability: NHTSA recall and complaint data, manufacturer recall notices and technical service bulletins.
- Fuel economy and energy prices: EPA / fueleconomy.gov ratings and U.S. Energy Information Administration gasoline and electricity prices.
- Taxes, fees and rules: the IRS, state tax agencies, DMVs and state insurance departments.
- Maintenance and repair: owner’s manuals and manufacturer service information, cross-checked against current parts and labor pricing.
- Finance and insurance: published industry data such as Experian’s automotive finance reports and state-level insurance rate studies.
When a figure is an estimate or a national average, we say so and explain what it depends on. When something varies by model, year, state or insurer, we tell you what to check rather than presenting one number as universal.
How We Write and Check Articles
- Every article opens with a direct answer, then explains the reasoning and the exceptions.
- Facts, prices, dates and legal or tax rules are checked against the sources listed on the page before publishing.
- We may use software tools, including AI writing assistants, to help with research, outlines and first drafts. Nothing is published without being reviewed, fact-checked and edited by our team, and we take full responsibility for everything on the site.
- Safety-related repair guides include warnings and tell you when a job should be left to a qualified technician.
Keeping Content Up to Date
Car prices, interest rates, insurance premiums, fuel prices and tax rules change often. Pages that depend on time-sensitive figures are reviewed at least every three months and whenever a relevant rule changes. Each article shows when it was last updated.
Corrections
If you find an error, email info@autoexpertshub.com with the page link and what you think is wrong. We check every report. When a correction changes the meaning of an article or a calculator result, we fix it and add a short correction note to the page.
Independence and Advertising
AutoExpertsHub is free to read and is supported by display advertising (for example Google AdSense). Advertisers do not see articles before publication and have no influence over what we write, recommend or criticize. We do not accept payment for reviews or rankings. If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, it will be clearly labeled on the page.
Calculators
Our free calculators follow the same standards. The formulas and data sources behind each tool are explained on How Our Calculators Work.
Not Professional Advice
Our content is general information. It is not financial, insurance, tax, legal or mechanical advice for your specific situation. For decisions that depend on your own circumstances, talk to a licensed professional. See our Terms of Service for details.
