Welcome to AutoExpertsHub.
We started this site for a simple reason: getting a straight answer about cars online is harder than it should be. Search for something as basic as whether a repair is worth doing, and you’ll wade through dealership marketing, affiliate roundups that recommend whatever pays best, and forum threads from 2011. We wanted a place that just answers the question.
What You’ll Find Here
AutoExpertsHub covers five areas, and we’d rather do those properly than cover everything thinly:
- Reliability Guides — which model years to buy and which to avoid, based on NHTSA recall and complaint data and known mechanical issues.
- Buying Guides — practical help for deciding what to buy, what to avoid, and what to check before you hand over money.
- Car Maintenance & Tips — step-by-step guides for the jobs you can handle yourself, and honest guidance on when you shouldn’t.
- Electric Vehicles — clear information on EVs as they move from novelty to normal, without the hype from either direction.
- Insurance & Car Finance — plain-English explanations of coverage, loans, leasing and ownership costs, with the numbers worked out.
We also build free tools, like the Fuel Cost Calculator, Car Comparison Calculator, and Commute Cost Calculator, because sometimes what you need isn’t an article — it’s a number.
How We Approach This
We write what we’d tell a friend. If a car isn’t worth the money, we’ll say so. If a repair is something you can do in your driveway with $30 of tools, we’ll tell you that instead of sending you to a shop.
We show our work. When we give a number — fuel costs, maintenance intervals, running costs — we explain where it comes from and what assumptions sit behind it, so you can check it against your own situation. Every figure in our calculators uses published conversion standards, and we show the formula rather than asking you to trust the output.
We say when we don’t know. Cars vary by model, year, trim, and how they’ve been treated. Where something depends on specifics we can’t see, we’ll tell you what to check rather than guess on your behalf.
We keep content current. Fuel prices move, models get replaced, and EV technology changes fast. Where an article depends on figures that shift, we revisit it rather than leaving a number from three years ago sitting there.
Who We Are
AutoExpertsHub is an independent publication. We’re not a dealership, a manufacturer, or a marketing agency, and no brand has any say in what appears here. What we publish comes from hands-on experience with cars — reading the manuals, doing the work, and making the same expensive mistakes most owners make at least once.
Our Editorial Standards
- Sources on every article. We rely on primary and official sources such as NHTSA, the EPA (fueleconomy.gov), the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the IRS, state DMVs and tax agencies, and manufacturer documentation, and we list them at the end of each article.
- Regular reviews. Pages with prices, rates, premiums or tax rules are reviewed at least every three months and show when they were last updated.
- Transparent calculators. The formula and data source behind every tool are explained on How Our Calculators Work.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note significant corrections on the page.

A Note on How This Site Is Funded
AutoExpertsHub is free to read, and it’s supported by advertising. Ads never influence what we write or which vehicles we recommend — if a car or a part isn’t good, that doesn’t change because someone is buying ad space.
